Thursday, June 20 1907 -- Herriman laments that California boxing fans will have to choose between two big bouts on Independence Day, the Bill Squires-Tommy Burns bout or the Jimmy Britt-Battling Nelson fight. As it later turned out the choice was made for them. The Britt-Nelson bout was rescheduled to July 31.
