Jeffrey Lindenblatts Paper Trends: The 300 for 2001 -- Rookies of 2000
Last year our biggest rookie focused on a minority group in this country, the African American community, with the strip Boondocks. This year our top rookie focuses on a different minority community, Latinos, with the strip Baldo that gets 16 papers in our survey. Other big debuts were Soup to Nutz with 11 and Six Chix with 10.
