Maybe just a 7th inning stretch,
and then back to it?

Ah, the memories. And Jim is right. It is not about the money wagered but the game. The hours we spent playing cards are fond memories. So many great stories!!

It was a crazy time. As Jim points out for a book to go up in value it has to be rare. With so many speculating on obvious issues there was no rarity.

Love the line: "We take delight in simpler things. It isn't boring... it's REdiscovery."

Exactly.

Being content should be on EVERYONE's Bucket List. Reaching and having a comfortable retirement age is 1st on mine.

I was surprised by a couple of Jim's. Make a hole in one? Jim golfs??? I'd love to see Jim win the lottery. Perhaps I should add THAT to MY bucket list -- seeing Jim win!

It seems the older we get the more "end of an eras" we see. Ah, but life goes on and "thanks for the memories."

How many times did Jim fall victim to the "I forgot my wallet" ploy? Never by me, I'm proud to say.

Jim,

You have made retirement look like the dream I hope it to be. Hard to believe when I met you I was a teenager and now I just signed my retirement papers (although I won't officially retire for 4 to 5 years).

Hope to get over to see you in the next month or so.

best,

That's the beauty of "retirement" -- you can "work" when you want. Keep 'em coming... at YOUR pace!
